It's October 1st again, a good break from the usual  Monday happenings.I had a good sleep and it was a stay home day for me. I however  could not help but think  about  Nigeria, seeing several  updates by Nigerians  on social media platforms  about  the celebration  one thing was clear to me,people are beginning  to loose hope. It's like year in year out its the same problems.... Unemployment, insecurity, corruption, bloodshed and more negatives pulling the nation backwards despites it's great potential .I see a people pained and disappointed but  I can't  help  but see  that it is out of the love for Nigerians and the yearning for a better Nigeria. I love Nigeria  too and I love Nigerians. Nigerians  are unique ,resilient and have a very good sense of humor. I encourage  us to stay hopeful, vote wisely  and do something  positive for Nigeria today. I'm not saying  we should stop praying bit in addition to your prayers do something to make a difference.    My pl

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog,I believe you are ready for an exciting and informative read. Some years ago, before the insurgency I was a part of a French class at Alliance Franchise located at the university of Maiduguri, there we were taught the French language and culture. In my class there were people from different countries , tribes, background and professions so it was really fun and a great platform for learning.  Sometimes in between the lessons,we interacted and shared opinions and experiences.Amongst us was one eloquent Barrister who was a National youth service corp Member. She had only been in Maiduguri for seven months. One day in class  she shared with us her story she said, '" I was so afraid when I found out I was posted to Borno state for National youth service, While coming to town by road My heart was pounding I felt like a sheep going for a slaughter, there was a university of Maiduguri student sitted next to me who was obviously an introvert

When you hear Sahara  desert you think many things some may be true and some just a mere assumptions. One thing I have learnt  is that assumptions are deadly, So allow me to help you get rid of some of your doubts, answer  a few of your questions  so that you will not have to assume any more.   I will be doing a series titled stories from Sahara Desert it will be worth reading.       I  look  forward  to an adventure   as I share some  interesting  stories about  Borno state  and more on Maiduguri  but of course  with with the help to those who have walked the soil of Borno, breathe it's air and from many who see it as home. I may also be going  back and forth Memory  lane so trust me when I say it will be fun.  Did you know Borno State is the second-largest Nigerian state by area? Well it is the second  largest in Nigeria by area and it is located in North east Nigeria,it's capital  is Maiduguri.       To follow this series, keep checking  this  blog every

Just a few seconds

Today I checked my blog and noticed it has been abandoned for so long, I could give a thousand and one reasons why but is there really a genuine reason? There is so much worth sharing and the truth is there is absolutely no reason not to.       A lot has happened lately but the most recent that struck me is the death of  a colleague...you know why? I thought I had more time, I thought  a hello will do for now....  It dawned on me that with some people you will only have a year, with some a month ,some a week, some a day and others just a few seconds therefore don't misuse an opportunity to reach out.    More often than not you may never get the chance again to give a nice compliment, a smile, a hug , or share some laughter, you may never get a chance to say good bye.   Don't wait for a person to be gone forever before saying how much that person is loved or appreciated, or how grateful you are for how much impact they have made in your life.
